Q.

How did it come about The Sheep?

A.

Some of our international Pure Oskar community were seeking a gift with a difference from Ireland. They wanted something that was fun and not the typical “gift from Ireland”. Something quirky but high quality. As we’re based near the Curragh in Co. Kildare, we responded by creating The Curragh Sheep. Due to popular demand, we are keeping him and making him available to everyone to snap and use as they choose. We found that some of our community wanted The Curragh Sheep for display purposes and felt it was too good to “use”. (a very Irish thing we think!).

A.

Yes, with one exception. We do not use any animal products in the making of most of our products, except for one - goat milk soap, as the name suggests. This is the only product from our range that isn't suitable for vegans.

Q.

Unlike other soaps Pure Oskar products leave no residue or sticky feeling why is that?

A.

A healthy byproduct of soap manufacture is glycerine, which has natural skin nourishing properties. Glycerine is widely removed from mass soap production and used for other skin product purposes. Pure Oskar keeps all the goodness of Glycerine, it is a key moisturising component of our soaps. We do not include the additives PEG (Polyethylene glycol, Poly (ethylene oxide), parabens, or SLS in our products.
